Day 3: Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,860 m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)
After an early breakfast, take a scenic mountain flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Upon arrival, meet your trekking crew and begin your journey through traditional Sherpa settlements and beautiful Himalayan landscapes. The trail gradually descends through Chaurikharka and follows the Dudh Koshi River, passing small villages, prayer wheels, mani walls, and suspension bridges. Continue through forested paths until you reach Phakding, a peaceful village beside the river. This relatively short trekking day allows you to begin adjusting to the mountain environment. Overnight stay at a local teahouse in Phakding.
Day 4: Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
After breakfast, follow the Dudh Koshi River through pine forests and traditional villages, crossing several suspension bridges along the way. Enter Sagarmatha National Park near Monjo, where permits are checked before continuing towards Jorsalle. After crossing the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, the trail climbs steadily towards Namche Bazaar. On clear days, you may catch your first distant views of Mount Everest. Arrive at Namche Bazaar, the lively trading centre of the Khumbu region, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Today is dedicated to acclimatization to help your body adjust to the increasing altitude. After breakfast, take an optional hike towards Syangboche and the Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy panoramic views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku, weather permitting. You may also visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and explore Namche's local markets, cafés, and traditional settlements. Returning to Namche for the night allows you to rest while preparing for the higher elevations ahead. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.
Day 6: Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Debuche (Approximately 3,820 m)
After breakfast, leave Namche Bazaar and follow a scenic mountain trail with magnificent views of Everest, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Descend towards the Dudh Koshi River before climbing through forests and hillside settlements towards Tengboche. Visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery, an important spiritual centre for the Sherpa community, and appreciate its peaceful atmosphere and spectacular mountain backdrop. Continue downhill through rhododendron and pine forests to Debuche, a quieter settlement near Tengboche. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Debuche.
Day 7: Day 7: Trek from Debuche to Dingboche (4,410 m)
Begin the day with a walk through the beautiful landscapes of the Imja Valley. Cross the river and pass traditional Sherpa villages, including Pangboche, while enjoying impressive views of Ama Dablam and surrounding Himalayan peaks. As you ascend, the landscape becomes more open and alpine, with stone-walled fields and fewer trees. Continue towards Dingboche, a picturesque mountain settlement that serves as an important acclimatization stop for trekkers heading to Everest Base Camp. Spend the evening relaxing, hydrating, and preparing for the next stage of the journey. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Dingboche.
Day 8: Day 8: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche (4,410 m)
Spend another important acclimatization day in Dingboche before continuing to higher elevations. After breakfast, you may take an optional gradual hike towards Nangkartshang Viewpoint, which offers spectacular views of Ama Dablam, the Imja Valley, and surrounding mountain peaks. The hike should be undertaken at a comfortable pace and according to your guide's assessment of your condition. Alternatively, enjoy a shorter walk around the village and rest at your teahouse. Proper hydration, nutrition, and rest are essential at this altitude. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Dingboche.
Day 9: Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940 m)
After breakfast, continue towards Lobuche through the rugged high-altitude landscapes of the Khumbu region. The trail gradually climbs towards Dughla, where you can take a break before ascending to the memorial area dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in the Himalayas. Continue along rocky terrain beside the Khumbu Glacier's lateral moraine, surrounded by impressive mountain scenery. As you approach Lobuche, the environment becomes increasingly barren and dramatic. Arrive at the settlement, rest, and prepare for the following day's journey to Everest Base Camp. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Lobuche.
Day 10: Day 10: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Return to Gorak Shep (5,164 m)
Today is one of the major highlights of your Everest adventure. After breakfast, trek from Lobuche towards Gorak Shep across rocky trails and glacial landscapes. Take a short break before continuing towards Everest Base Camp, following the rugged terrain beside the Khumbu Glacier. Upon reaching Everest Base Camp, celebrate this remarkable achievement and enjoy the extraordinary surroundings of the world's highest mountain region. During the spring climbing season, expedition tents may be visible at the base camp. After spending time taking photographs and appreciating the scenery, retrace your steps to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay at a mountain teahouse.
Day 11: Day 11: Sunrise Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and Trek to Pheriche (Approximately 4,240 m)
Start early in the morning for the challenging ascent to Kala Patthar, one of the most celebrated viewpoints in the Everest region. If weather conditions are favourable, witness the first sunlight illuminating Mount Everest, Nuptse, Pumori, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Kala Patthar provides one of the finest close-up panoramas of Everest available on the standard trekking route. After enjoying the views, descend to Gorak Shep for breakfast and continue down the valley towards Pheriche. The descent brings you to a lower elevation, providing an opportunity to recover after several demanding days at altitude. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Pheriche.
Day 12: Day 12: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
After breakfast, begin the return journey through the scenic Khumbu Valley. Descend along established mountain trails, passing Pangboche and Tengboche before continuing through forests and traditional Sherpa settlements. Although much of the route descends, some uphill sections require steady effort. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you return towards the greener valleys and busier trails of the lower Everest region. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, spend the evening relaxing, exploring local shops, or enjoying refreshments at one of the town's cafés. Overnight stay at a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.
Day 13: Day 13: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,860 m)
After breakfast, begin the final trekking day towards Lukla. Follow the trail downhill through Monjo and Phakding, crossing suspension bridges and walking beside the Dudh Koshi River.
